Dish:                       Le misérable, Belgian cake

Description:      A cake made with an almond sponge cake, similar to the Joconde or Gioconda sponge cake accompanied by a French buttercream flavoured with vanilla. All sprinkled with icing sugar… Simple and sublime.

My Creation

My Notes:            This was quite time consuming. The most difficult part was getting the sugar syrup consistency just right. I didn’t and so I had a few crystals in my cream.

I also think there is too much butter so add a bit at a time and watch the mixture.
